Multi-page forms, auto-advance & progress

Split a form into steps, advance automatically when a page is complete, show a progress bar, and keep answers if someone leaves partway.

Multi-page forms

Add a Page from the palette to break a form into steps. Each page can have its own background image, colours and spacing (select the page in the outline and open its Style section).

Auto-advance

Turn on Auto-advance pages (Logic tab) so the form moves to the next page on its own once every question on the current page is answered. You can override this per page in the page’s settings.

Auto-advance never submits the form for the visitor, and it won’t interrupt someone who is still typing in a text box.

Progress bar

A progress bar and a “Step X of Y” label appear automatically on multi-page forms. You can hide them with Show progress bar (Logic tab).

Skipping pages automatically

Pages adapt to the answers. If you hide every question on a page (using a field’s “show this field when…” rule), that whole page is skipped for those visitors — so you can branch detractors to a “what went wrong?” page while advocates skip straight past it.

Answers are saved as people go

On a multi-page form, the answers so far are saved each time someone moves to the next page. So if a visitor closes the tab or loses signal partway through, what they’d already filled in isn’t lost — it’s recorded as an in-progress response, and finalised when they actually submit. This is on by default for multi-page forms; you can turn it off in the form’s settings if you’d rather only keep completed submissions.
