Pages and the page editor

The pages list, filtering and bulk actions, and everything you can do inside the page editor — widgets, links and images.

The pages list

Pages shows every page as a sortable table: title, type, status, which header and footer it uses, and when it was last updated. Filter by type (Pages / Posts / Events) or status (Published / Draft / Scheduled), or search by title.

Tick the checkboxes to select several pages at once and, above the table, Publish, Unpublish, Set header, Set footer, or Delete them together. Click a row to open it in the editor; the View button beside each row opens the live or preview page in a new tab.

If your site has a lot of pages, switch on Hierarchy at the top of the table to see them nested under their parent pages instead of as a flat list.

Creating a page

Above the table, Create a page with AI describes what you want in a sentence or two and generates a complete page — text, images and layout. New blank page starts empty if you'd rather build it yourself.

The page editor

Opening a page shows it much as a visitor would see it, with your site's real header and footer shown (dimmed) above and below so you always know how the page sits in context — edit those from your Library, not from inside a page.

Click any piece of text, image or button to select and edit it directly. Every element also has an Ask AI option for rewrites, restyling or generating a fresh image, and the whole page keeps a version history so you can compare or step back to an earlier version.

Widgets & links

Below the canvas, the Widgets & links tab lists everything configurable on the page — every widget (like a product showcase or a newsletter signup) and every link or button, in the order they appear. Anything not yet configured, or a link with nowhere to go, is highlighted so it's easy to spot before you publish. Click any row to jump straight to it on the canvas.

Add widget, at the top of this tab, adds a new widget to the page. Pick a type from the list — each one shows a short description of what it does and, where relevant, a note about what it needs before it'll show anything to a visitor. If you've saved presets for a type in your Library, you can insert one of those directly instead of starting from scratch. The new widget goes in next to whatever's currently selected on the canvas, or at the end of the page if nothing is.

For a widget, you can:

  • Edit its settings directly.
  • Save as preset — name and save its current settings and styling to your Library, so you can reuse the same look on another widget later, or set it as the default for that widget type.
  • Swap preset — if you've saved presets for that widget type in your Library, pick a different one and its look and settings apply immediately.
  • Change type — replace it with a different kind of widget entirely. This clears its current settings, so you'll be asked to confirm first.

What widgets are available

  • Product showcase — shows live products or menu items from your catalogue, with photos and prices. Needs products in your catalogue before it has anything to show.
  • Post list — lists your latest blog posts. Needs at least one published post.
  • Event list — lists your upcoming (or past) events, classes or gigs. Needs at least one published event.
  • Newsletter signup — a simple email signup form. Works immediately, nothing to set up.
  • Ordering handoff — a button, banner or card that sends visitors into ordering, booking, buying a ticket, or buying a gift card. Needs online ordering, booking, ticketing or gift cards turned on elsewhere in Mavos.
  • Embed — drops in an outside video, map or booking page from an approved provider like YouTube or Google Maps. Needs a link to whatever you want to embed.
  • Custom code — a sandboxed space for your own HTML, CSS and JavaScript, for anything the other widgets can't do. Starts blank; runs in a locked-down sandbox that can't touch the rest of your site.
  • Navigation menu, Logo and Social links — normally live in your header or footer rather than the middle of a page (see Headers, footers and your library), but you can add one to a page body too if you have a reason to. Navigation and Logo work immediately using your real site menu, logo and site name; Social links needs at least one profile link added.

Links

Selecting a link or button lets you choose where it goes: another page on your site, an external URL, a spot further down the same page, an email address or phone number — or straight into an order: Start an order, Book a table, or Buy a gift card. You can also choose whether it opens in the same tab or a new one, and set its label and screen-reader text.

Images

Any image you add while building your website is saved to your shared Mavos media library — tagged Website — so it's available to reuse anywhere else in Mavos too, not just on this page.
