Integrations

Connecting integrations

Connect Stripe, kitchen displays, SMS, email, accounting, AI, your own domain, and your own systems — all under one settings page.

How integrations work

Go to Settings → Integrations. Each card shows a service, whether it's connected, and a quick detail (like the connected email address). Click a card to set it up.

One important principle: every business connects its own accounts. Your Stripe account, your Twilio number, your email domain, your API keys. Payments and messages flow through accounts you own and control — Mavos never sits between you and your money.

Payments — Mavos Payments or your own Stripe

Card payments everywhere — kiosk, QR, online and counter — run on Mavos Payments, on your own Stripe account, or on both, and you choose which account takes each kind of payment. The Payments card opens Settings → Payments, where you set this up. See Payments and the till.

  • Card payments pay out to your bank account.
  • Refunds go back through the account the original payment was taken on, and membership billing runs on the account you choose for memberships.

Stripe Terminal readers

Physical card readers for the counter are managed under Settings → Payments, where you register readers, choose which account each is registered on, and assign them to locations. Each POS device then picks its default reader. See Payments and till.

FreshKDS — kitchen displays

Connect the FreshKDS card with your FreshKDS account and paid orders are pushed to your kitchen screens automatically. Once connected, monitor delivery health under your location's settings (KDS health).

Twilio — SMS

Connect your Twilio account on the SMS card to text receipts and notifications from your own number. You'll need your Twilio credentials and a sending number.

Email — Resend or Gmail

The Email card offers two ways to send receipts, booking confirmations, and member emails:

  • Resend — send from your own domain (e.g. hello@mycafe.com). The deliverability panel checks your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records so your emails land in inboxes, not spam.
  • Gmail — sign in with a Google account and send from it directly. Simplest for small operations.

Xero — accounting export

Xero doesn't need a connection — the End of day and Accounting (P&L) reports produce Xero-ready CSV files you import. Map your account codes once under Settings → Accounting. See Reports.

OpenRouter — AI features

The AI assistants (theming, settings help, product import, analytics chat) run on OpenRouter using your own API key. Connect it on the OpenRouter card, pick a default model, and set a spend cap so costs can never run away. An audit log records every AI action.

Custom domain

Serve your online ordering from your own web address (e.g. order.mycafe.com). Enter the domain on the Custom domain card, add the DNS record shown at your domain provider, and verify. See Building apps.

API keys, webhooks and AI apps

Owners and admins manage these on the API, Webhooks & AI apps card:

  • Create API keys for your own systems and third-party add-ons. Give each key only the permissions it needs (e.g. read-only orders), limit it to some locations if you like, and set an expiry date. Customer names and contact details are separate permissions, so a key only sees them when you allow it.
  • Register webhooks so your systems are notified the moment events happen (an order is paid, a booking is made). Choose which events each one receives and how much customer detail it includes, and use Test to check it's working.
  • See every AI app (such as Claude or ChatGPT) your team has connected to the business, and disconnect any of them. See Connecting AI apps.

Coming soon

Uber Eats and DoorDash menu sync are on the roadmap — their cards show as coming soon.
