The Day sheet — arrivals, tables, and kitchen timing

See what's booked today at a glance, check guests in, send pre-ordered food to the kitchen now or later, seat a table, and move or cancel a booking from the register.

If your venue takes bookings, the register has a Day sheet — a single screen showing everything booked for a chosen day, with the tools your team needs to run arrivals without leaving the till.

Opening the Day sheet

Tap Search in the navigation rail, then the Day sheet section. It appears whenever your location sells bookings or offers booking check-in.

Your venue may also have a menu page pointing straight at it, in which case Day sheet has its own button on the rail with its own name and icon — see Building your app.

The list opens on today. Use the date control at the top — and step a day at a time, and tapping the date opens a calendar with Today, Tomorrow and +7 days shortcuts.

At the top of the screen, an availability strip shows how each bookable product is tracking for the day — how many spots are left, or Sold out/Closed — so you can answer "have we got room for four at 7?" without leaving this screen.

Below that is the day's list, earliest booking first. Each row shows the time, product (and option, if it's a family product like a room type), party size, customer name if one's attached, and a status badge:

BadgeWhat it means
Held (with a countdown)Still in someone's cart at checkout — not yet paid.
UnpaidThe order was placed but payment hasn't finished.
ConfirmedPaid and locked in.
Checked inThe guest has arrived.

A small food icon with a number means there's pre-ordered food waiting to be sent to the kitchen for that booking — see below.

Checking guests in

Tap Check in on a booking's row once the guest arrives. This does two things at once: it marks the booking checked in, and it opens a short Checked in panel with everything else you might want to do right now.

Sending pre-ordered food to the kitchen

When a customer orders food alongside a booking (for example, adding a starter to their table booking while paying online), that food doesn't go to the kitchen straight away — it's held until the guest actually arrives, so it isn't sitting under a heat lamp before anyone's in the building.

In the Checked in panel, under Food ordered with this visit, you can:

  • Send all now — sends every waiting item to the kitchen immediately.
  • Send now on a single item — sends just that one.
  • Send at… — pick a time later today (for example, if the guest wants their starter in 20 minutes) and the kitchen gets it automatically at that time, no need to remember to come back.

If nothing was ordered ahead, or everything's already been sent, the panel just says so — there's nothing you need to do.

Seating a table

Still in the Checked in panel, if your venue uses tables, tap an available table under Seat this party to assign it to the booking's order. The order picks up the table the same way a walk-in dine-in order would.

Moving a booking to a new time

Tap Rebook on a booking's row to pick a new time for that guest, on the same product and party size. If the new time is priced exactly the same as what they already paid, the change goes through immediately. If the new time is priced differently — a peak-time slot instead of off-peak, say — the register won't move it automatically; instead, cancel the existing booking and sell the new time as a fresh sale, so the price difference is handled properly through payment rather than silently absorbed.

Rebooking isn't offered once a guest has already checked in — at that point the visit is underway, not something to reschedule.

Cancelling a booking

Tap Cancel on a booking's row — this works for unpaid, confirmed, and already-checked-in bookings alike. Cancelling frees the booking immediately, but it does not refund any payment already taken; if money needs to come back, use the refund options on the linked order (see Refunds and order edits).

Releasing an expired hold

A Held booking that's run past its countdown is still shown so you can clear it — tap Release to free the spot back to availability. Holds that are still ticking down can't be released this way; let the countdown finish, or point the guest back to checkout.

Taking payment

If a booking's order hasn't been paid yet, its row shows a Take payment button — tap it to jump straight to that order in Search, then use Take payment in its detail pane to collect card or cash.
