Getting started

Searching from anywhere

Find any page, setting, product, customer or order, and jump between your Mavos apps, from one search box.

Every part of Mavos has the same search box at the top of the sidebar, in the main admin and in Stock, Staffing, Forms, Marketing, Automations and Website. Click Search, or press Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) from any page, or press / when you are not typing in a field.

Start typing and the results update as you go:

  • Pages and settings. Everything in the sidebar and in Settings, for example "hours", "users", "payments" or "kitchen screens". You only see the settings your role can open.
  • Your records at this location. Products by name or SKU, customers by name, email or phone, orders by number ("47", "#47" or the full order code) or by customer name, and your apps. Records appear once you have typed two letters.
  • Your other Mavos apps. Pages from the other apps your business uses, such as "roster" in Staffing or "stocktakes" in Stock. Choosing one opens that app.
  • Other locations and devices. Switch to another location, or open the register, a kiosk or a kitchen screen.

Use the arrow keys to move through the results, Enter to open one, and Esc to close the box.

Asking the assistant

If you would rather ask than search, the first row of the results is Ask the AI assistant. Press the up arrow to reach it, then Enter, and the assistant opens beside the page. You see this row in the main admin if you are an owner or admin, and in Marketing and Automations.

Knowledge

In Knowledge, Ctrl+K opens Knowledge's own search, which searches your articles and pages. It also lists matching pages from your other Mavos apps under Other apps.
