Audiences
Choose who receives a campaign, starting from a common group and adjusting it in plain words.
Audiences
An audience is a group of customers, such as "haven't been in for 6 weeks". Campaigns and flows only ever reach customers who have agreed to hear from you.
Start from a common group
Go to Audiences, press New audience, and pick a starting point:
- All customers
- Your best customers
- Slipping away
- New customers
- Haven't been in for 6 weeks
- Rewards members
- Spent $500 or more
Then adjust the numbers to suit your business. The rule is shown in plain words above the conditions, so you can check it reads the way you mean.
See who you'll reach
The reach estimate shows how many customers match and how many can be reached by email or SMS once consent, opt-outs and contact limits are applied.
Advanced
Most audiences never need these:
- Mode: Dynamic checks who matches every time you send. Frozen keeps the list as it was when the campaign was sent.
- Transactional-only: for genuine service messages (like order receipts) that may go to customers who haven't agreed to marketing. Never use it for promotions. Turning it on asks for a reason and is recorded.
